BerryTraqr, the App:
BerryTraqr is a free app that allows your BlackBerry device to be tracked using GPS coordinates. Try it out for 3 days. After 3 days, you may choose to activate the software or remove it.

- Reports approximate GPS coordinates (via internal GPS or cellular triangulation). Internal GPS capability is not required.
- Reports approximate speed and you can be notified if the device exceeds a certain limit!

- Can be run as a stand alone app or as a system module. Parents and employers can install the System Module version to keep kids and employees from disabling the application.
- The Traqr is easily toggled on and off without the need to exit the app.
- All personal data is one-way encrypted, so there's virtually no way of personal information being leaked.**
- Activation is PIN based. If you phone is lost or stolen and someone swaps the SIM, tracking the device can be done easily working with BerryTraqr's support staff.
* Optimal settings for decent battery consumption have been set by default to refresh GPS coordinates every 300 seconds. Small unit tests have shown battery consumption from full to complete drain of approx. 53 hours on a BlackBerry Bold 9000 and approximately 56 hours on a BlackBerry Curve 8310 on default settings. Your battery consumption may vary.
** Data is placed through a one-way 128-bit hash algorithm based on
MD5. While a reverse hashing is possible, it is unlikely that personal data will be leaked. All data is stored for 14 days.
